Main advantages of Custom Plan Builder (V1)

  1. Old plan builder is locked to a finite types of payment frequencies, monthly, weekly, fortnightly or FULL.
  2. New plan builder matches the old plan builder in flexibility EXCEPT payment frequency because new plan builder can support infinite possibilities. For example, custom payment schedules can be built to charge every 6 weeks or every 3 months.
  3. In terms of credit management, old plan builder cannot configure complex mix of services such as 4 credits per payment term for one group class type and infinite credits to other group classes for the same term. New plan builder can handle other complicated credit management requirements such as combinations of semi private, private, other and Group class.
  4. Can build Trial plans in the new plan builder which is not offered in old plan builder. A member on a Trial plan is treated as a Trial member in the same way as the members put on Trial period.
  5. New plan builder can build off peak plans. For example, you can specify a discounted plan which allows members to book only after 9 am and before 4 pm as an example.

Drawbacks of Custom Plan Builder (V1)

  1. Old plan builder allows a plan's payment frequency to be switched between the defined frequencies such as monthly, weekly, fortnightly or FULL. In new plan builder, each plan can only have one payment schedule so if you want the same plan as both weekly or monthly, you have to build two versions of that plan, i.e., Gold membership weekly then Gold membership monthly.
  2. Old plan builder suits businesses which operate with simple credit management requirements and fewer plan types through toggling payment frequency when selling a plan to individual members.
  3. Old plan builder treats packs as a separate type of offerings. The new plan builder builds once-off fixed term packs as plans as well. Some businesses might prefer the first approach whilst others might prefer the second approach.
